Master has multiple stars in the film – Vijay Sethupathy, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah to mention a few but the lead portrayed by Superstar “Thalapathy” Vijay, is in a class of his own, especially in Tamil films. Master is a significant movie to pull into OTTs and Amazon Prime Video’s successful acquisition of the movie should be commended.
With Amazon Prime Video successfully getting the streaming rights for Master this quickly after its theatrical release, we expect the OTT giant to target the big whale, possibly the biggest Kannada (possibly Indian) movie releasing this year – K.G.F: Chapter 2. The multi-starrer feature has been one of the biggest films that dropped this year, with multiple sources placing it in the top 5 highest grossing films of 2021 (Rankings vary from list-to-list), as of now. Thalapathy Vijay’s Master dropped last night on Amazon Prime Video, just 15 days after its theatrical release.
